Balazs - Sorry you can't make it. I emailed you back earlier this morning.
I have already been in touch with the marina and cancelled your reservation, and given it to Tairona as they were first on the wait list.
Balazs on Wednesday 16 May 2012 - 11:43:23
Everyone, I had made a reservation to Gibsons, but we cannot make it. Please feel free to use my spot, just call the marina and use my name Balazs Gerloczy, SV Plumb Crazy. Have fun out there!

hungry... go to recipes

We got some good advice from Ken & Carol at the Regatta. Don’t store your extinguishers vertically, only horizontally or the stuff inside settles to the bottom. If you have to store them vertically, shake them once and a while.
saynomore on Tuesday 15 May 2012 - 17:20:35
just thinking anyone who has expired extinguishers, please bring them, I will ask the local fire dept, to come down to the shore and fire up a container so we can practice using an extinguisher.
Windchime on Tuesday 15 May 2012 - 17:19:44
Oh wait, I guess you meant "catch the fish that is in our freezer", not "catch our cats". dough!
Windchime on Tuesday 15 May 2012 - 17:18:03
Hey, hey, hey ... never joke about a man's cuddly little kitty cats
saynomore on Tuesday 15 May 2012 - 17:14:11
Hell not Commodore I was thinking of waiting till your cats fall asleep and throw a couple of hooks in your freezer.
Sailor I'm I that can think outside of the dingy...RRrrrrr

The admiral just told me my writing is terrible. I should of written... "It meets the code and you will save $42." ... just more ware and tare on my fingers.
Windchime on Tuesday 15 May 2012 - 17:09:16
OK, thanks! Do you want me to try to help you and see if I can catch a chicken or a duck on the sail up. How about a Western Gull for you to make authentic Italian seagull stew
saynomore on Tuesday 15 May 2012 - 17:06:12
All members, went to Canadian tire for 2 fire extinguishers. Marine section 2lp = $44.
In kitchen section Marine approved 2lb $23.
Meet code and save $42

Saynomore - I accept your “Culinary Challenge to the Fleet”. And volunteer to lead Team-2 in the Commodores Cruise first annual “Potluck Crock-Off” (MacSoup)
But ... I refuse to wear a speedo in the galley or on the dock
see details in the Com Cruise forum post.
saynomore on Sunday 13 May 2012 - 14:46:07
Gemini: I was trying the European lifestyle, with our Italian focus this year. So "la soupe" is how the Europeans finish the day, not with a big meal. So if big breaky, hardy lunch is not on the menu, Chef speedo extraordinaire saynomore will come up with something, My first thought if we are lucky at fishing is salmon-prosciutto. and for those who do not appreciate seafood, I can do the dish with chicken, lamb, veal, pork, or beef. with a pasta salad, Italian whole grain bread, and we head out for italian icecream or fruit for dessert. Or italian pasta with tomato basil sauce, oh yes with garlic. mangea, mangea, mangea
saynomore on Friday 11 May 2012 - 19:26:30
All members go to the commodore cruise event page in forum and read my post.

To all members attending the regatta in Blaine have fun and wish all sails full of wind. Thinking that it would be nice with so many youth joining in on our events, it would be nice for those interested in photography to submit a youths perspective behind the lens. Also for those who may pick up the camera, we are blessed in our club to have a great photographer and I am sure if you ask Elizabeth for tips she would be most proud to share her secrets

It's finally here! The Wonderous "BLAINE REGATTA", I've been waiting all year for this. Not such a great showing last year (Back went out) but I've done my exercises and am ready to get out there and clean up. Not that I'm competitive? Little is more fun then winding our way around the buoys! Don't miss out! It's our 20th!!!!

No, the parking lot at Vanier Park is not fenced. I would not leave our vehicle and boat on the trailer there for a week. We do leave our vehicle and empty trailer at Vanier Park after launching when go to the Howe Sound. We also safely leave our boat at anchor in False Creek for the max 2 week period in the summer.
Balazs on Monday 30 April 2012 - 20:20:49
Thanks, Darry! Just wondering about the safety of this locale. IS it fenced? Would you be content with leaving your boat on its trailer here for a week? I am thinking about cutting a deal with one of the RV parks to store it for me for this week (there aren't many). Thank again.
